There is absolutely no upfront cost for using this service, all costs are taken out of the sale of the item.

WE COLLECT
Using our own logistics team, Evoque will speak to the policyholder to arrange collection of the item(s) at their convenience. Once the item is collected, we will assess any potential damage and appoint one of the experienced restorers that form part of our network.
WE RESTORE
Any items that require restoration are passed to our UK wide network of specialists. They will restore the item using the highest quality material and craftmanship.
WE SELL
The item is then handed to our sales team who identify where best they can sell the item and achieve the maximum sale price.

BACKGROUND
A plant Hire business had several items stolen from a demolition site in January 2017. Thieves broke through fencing and stole the items on low loaders. In September 2017 the items were found and the thieves arrested. We were appointed to act on the insurers’ behalf in respect of the 2017 Hitachi 33 Ton Excavator. The insurer settled at £69,500.
COLLECTION
Once appointed we contacted the company who had the item in storage on behalf of the insurer. They offered their delivery services and stated they could keep the item in storage for a discounted rate if required.
SALE
Because the item was undamaged, we set about contacting our various trade contacts to garner some interest. Several interested parties came back and we got an offer of £50,000- which we accepted. We accepted based on the settlement figure, the current second-hand market (limited as it was a 2017 model and therefore not many are available for sale with it being so new) and the fact that several of the attachments had not been recovered. We were able to achieve a return of over 40% for the insurer and did it all within 48 hours.

BACKGROUND
Evoque were instructed by a Loss Adjuster to collect a Whirlpool clothes dryer, which had been involved in a small water leak in the kitchen. The insurer paid out for the whole kitchen and we received 6 high end appliances, all less than 12 months old. The total payout for the appliances was £9,307.01. Total payout for the dryer was £272.34.
COLLECTION
Our Logistics team attended the client’s property and collected all 6 appliances.
RESTORATION
Firstly, the appliances were checked over by a specialist and deemed safe to use. They were then professionally cleaned and PAT Tested by an electrician.
SALE
The Clothes dryer went up for sale on our website, www.thebazaar.store, and sold within 14 days for £300 so gross return was over 100% of the claim.
